Lawrence Leo Henry Sr. Passed away on Thursday November 5th, 2020 due to complications from Covid19 He was a farmer's son born on July 31, 1939 in Corning, KS He moved to Kansas City where he meet Cora Mae Cooper, they married on April 4, 1959 moved to Shawnee KS where he worked several jobs and ended up running a backhoe eventually owning his own company Henry Backhoe Service, established April 1, 1978. He loved camping fishing and spending time with family. He and Cora did lots of traveling they loved going to the Casinos and spending time together. Cora passed away in 1999 and he remarried on June 13, 2000, to his new wife Norma Mae Sumner he moved to Oklahoma. There he worked hauling brick while also traveling and going to Casinos with Norma, he enjoyed fishing and hunting and forging new friendships as he has never met a stranger, anyone who knew him fell in love with his outgoing personality. Norma passed away in 2017 and he lived in Kansas City with his son until ending up at Life Care Center of Seneca where he spent the last two years. He was preceded in death by his daughter Renee Sue Henry his dad Joseph Anthony Henry Sr., his mother Hedwig Magalin Henry, his sister Edith and husband Ray Rombeck, his brothers Joe and wife Evelyn Henry, Don and wife Dode Henry, Dick Henry, Bob Henry, Regis Henry and sister in-law Dorothy Henry. He leaves behind His brothers Frenchy Henry, Jim Henry and wife Jannie, Kenny Henry and wife Dorothy, Dennis Henry and wife Joyce, his sister Mary Jo Barrett and Husband Charles, sister in-law Bea Cooper. Four children Patti Gibbs, Larry Henry and wife Krista, Greg Henry and Connie Bohannon- Kebert, Carl Henry and wife Carol. And Seven grandchildren Aaron Henry, Cody Gibbs, Katie Gibbs, Rachel Harris, Tyler Henry, Nikki Henry and Jesse Henry. And two great grandchildren Jackson Henry and Wesley Harris.
