John “Jack” Wenzel Stickle Jr., 90, of Warsaw, Missouri and Rockport, Texas, passed away on February 1, 2021, at Cedar Lake Village in Olathe, KS.
Jack was born on August 23, 1930, in Kansas City, MO. A veteran of the Korean War he served his country with honor. His favorite things were his family, fishing, Prayer Meetings, and being with his friends. He was a long-time Winter Texan and enjoyed the Gulf Coast.
Jack was preceded in death by his wife, Peggy Mae Stickle, his parents, John W. Stickle Sr. and Lavenia Stickle and his son John W. Stickle III. He is survived by his daughters, Jennifer Rooney and Lee Stickle (Sarah Hanson) , daughter-in-law, Teri Stickle and grandchildren, John Stickle IV (Lindsey Jenkins), Lindsay Anderson (Tommy), Katie Rooney (Molly Abend), Danny Rooney (Katie Burnell), Miceal Rooney (Allie), and Brigitte Rooney (Jane Panangaden); and his great-grandchildren, Aubrey and Adilyn Stickle, John “Parker” and Austin Anderson and Noa Abend Rooney.
The family hopes to hold a memorial service this summer when it is safe to do so.
