Captain Christopher Arnold

October 7, 1961 — October 5, 2019

Chris Arnold, 57, of Kansas City Kansas passed away in his home on October 5, 2019. Chris was a lifelong resident of Wyandotte County. He resided in the very home in which he was born and raised as a young man. His career spanned 28 years of service with the Wyandotte County Sheriff’s Department.  Chris rose through the ranks to obtain the honorable position as Captain Christopher Arnold. He led the department as, Range Master, Taser and small arms instructor.

Chris a.k.a. the gentle giant, was beloved by his brothers and sisters in law enforcement. The amount of support given during this tragedy is a testament to the loving and loyal man he was. He will be dearly missed by all. His smile lit a room and his deep belly laugh will stay forever with us.

Chris knew no stranger and had a great sense of humor. He was an extremely hard worker and loyal to all. He enjoyed being with family, hunting and riding his Harley. He had a fierce love for his dogs and any dog for that matter. He took pride in his role as a K-9 Commander.

He was preceded in death by his parents Fenlow and Antonette Arnold. He is survived by his son, Zachery Arnold; stepdaughter, Saira Bottlemueller; two sisters: Mary (Cena) Milliner, Jo Ann and spouse John Mockobey; nephew, Aaron Leonard; niece, Jennifer Leonard; step granddaughter, Layla; great nephew, Jordan Leonard; great niece, Teagan Colson.
