Britton Johnson

February 20, 1985 — June 6, 2021

Prairie Village

Britton was born on February 20, 1985, in Overland Park, Kansas, at a whopping three pounds and seven ounces.  He, 36, of Prairie Village, Kansas, passed away Sunday, June 6, 2021, from Covid.  He is the pride and joy of his family.  After his eighth-grade year, he developed a massive brain tumor which was successfully removed.  Whenever he had a health-related bump in the road, he always read and researched ways to improve.  He graduated from Shawnee Mission East High School and received a bachelor’s degree in social work from the University of Missouri-Columbia.  He later received a degree in automated computer-assisted design and drafting.  He loved his work as an engineering technician at Automated Systems, Inc., and enjoyed and respected the people with whom he worked. He also took great joy in the Chiefs and the NFL.  He is a beloved son, brother, grandson and uncle.  He is very missed.  He is survived by his parents, Mark and Vicki Johnson, his sister, brother-in-law and nephew, Taylon, Dave and Miles Bush, his maternal grandmother, LaVera Lane, his paternal grandmother, Reatha Johnson, and his aunt and uncle, Madeline and Robert Stawnicz.  A private gravesite service will be held.  A Celebration of Life will be held from 2:00-4:00 p.m. on Sunday, July 25, 2021, at Pinstripes, 13500 Nall Avenue, Overland Park, Kansas.  In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions to Harvesters.
