November 21, 1934 — October 17, 2014

Winifred Ann (Kuhlmann) Windisch, 79, Prairie Village, KS, passed away Friday, October 17, 2014, surround by her family at KU Medical Center, Kansas City, KS, from complications arising from Myelodysplastic Syndrome.  Visitation will be Monday, October 20 from 6:30-8:30 p.m. at Overland Park Chapel, 8201 Metcalf Avenue, Overland Park.  The Rosary will be prayed at 6:30 p.m.  Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, October 21 at Church of St. Ann, 7231 Mission Road, Prairie Village, with burial to follow at Resurrection Cemetery, Lenexa, KS.  Memorial contributions may be made to Aplastic Anemia & MDS International Foundation, 100 Park Ave., Suite 108, Rockville, MD, 20850 or at www.AAMDS.org/DonateNow.

Wini was born Nov. 21, 1934 in Olpe, KS.

She was a loving wife and mother who took great pride in her family.  In addition to devoting herself to loved ones, she also volunteered at numerous church, school, youth and civic organizations.  She enjoyed expressing her artistic talents early in her career at Hallmark and continued to utilize her skills in various forms including cake decorating. She maintained her passion for the arts throughout her life not only visually, but in the performing arts and literature, as well.

She was preceded in death by: her loving husband, Henry of 36 years in 1994; four brothers, Jim, Ted, Jerry and Bud Kuhlmann; and two sisters, Helen Kuhlmann and Maxine McDonald.

Survivors include: four children, Sharon A. Beilharz, Scottsdale, AZ, Michael J. (Brenda) Windisch, Wichita, KS, Deanna K. (Pat) Schleicher, Shawnee, KS, and Lynda S. (Brian) Bentler, Overland Park, KS; twelve grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren with two more on the way; and two sisters, Irene Charles of Overland Park, KS and Kathy McLear of Loch Lloyd, MO.  Please offer condolences and share memories at www.overlandparkchapel.com.
