Willa left this world on Oct 18,2023 after a brief illness. She was born to William & Maude Schumacher Feb 4, 1925 in Gas City KS. She graduated from Iola KS High School 1943, received her RN from Bethany School of Nursing and went on to earned a Masters in Psychiatry Nursing from Washington University St Louis. She worked for the VetAdm hospital in Kansas City & Topeka for 35 years. She is survived by niece Diane Scrogham and nephews Wayne Whisler & Alan Schumacher (JoAnn). A memorial service is 1:30 Shawnee United Methodist Church followed by graveside services Shawnee Memory Garden. Contributions can be made the Salvation Army.
