Virginia Jo Logan, 79, died surrounded by her family on June 14, 2017. A visitation will be from 10-11 am Saturday, June 17th at the Overland Park Chapel, 8201 Metcalf Ave., Overland Park, KS with a service starting at 11 am, burial to follow at Shawnee Mission Memory Gardens.
Virginia was born November 2, 1937 to John Haynes and Maxine (Dinius) Haynes. Virginia was preceded in death by her husband, Gerald Logan. She is survived by her five children, Cheryl Kovich (James), Susan Defebaugh (Kent), Michael Coleman, Kristie Schuster (David), Laurie Coleman (Tony Moffett); seven grandchildren, Wyatt Kovich (Hannah), Danielle Coleman (Kevin Young), Bret Coleman, Taylor Coleman, Rachel Schuster, Carly Coleman, Jackson Schuster; two great grandchildren, Hunter Young and Rose Kovich. Virginia is also survived by two sisters, Mary Ann Cunningham, Sun City, AZ., and Carol Sue White, Grand Junction, CO.
Virginia retired from the Kansas City, Kansas School District in 1994 after 20 years of service. She enjoyed cooking, crocheting, going to the casinos and spending time with her family. She was a member of the American Business Women’s Association, where she was President in 1986 and Woman of the Year (Wy-Kan Chapter) in 1987.
