Thomas Leahy Short, Jr., 84, Roeland Park, KS, passed away September 22, 2014 at home. The Rosary will be prayed at 9 a.m., Friday, September 26, with visitation until 10 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial will follow the visitation at 10 a.m. at St. Agnes Catholic Church, 5250 Mission Road, Roeland Park, KS. Burial, with military honors, will follow at Resurrection Cemetery, Lenexa, KS. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Agnes Catholic Church.
Tom’s life’s work was with Wonder Bread as their Regional Engineer. Tom is survived by: his wife of 56 years, Elizabeth; four sons, Pat (Monica) Short of Arlington, TX, Michael (Barbara) Short of Berlin, Germany, Tim Short of Roeland Park, KS, and Joe (Joyce) Short of Cabot, AR; 10 grandchildren; 5 great grandchildren; and a sister, Marlea (Don) Hobza of Omaha, NE.
