Sheila Jane (Cassidy) Lewallen (91), Prairie Village, died 07/02/12 at 08:45 pm. The family will receive friends on Thursday, July 5th, 5-7 PM, at DW Newcomer's Sons Overland Park Chapel. A Funeral Mass will be held at 10:00 am on July 06, 2012 at Trinity Anglican Church, 3920 W. 63rd St, Prairie Village, Kansas. Graveside service will be at 02:30 pm at the Rosehill Cemetery, Brookfield, Missouri.
Mrs. Lewallen was born in Brookfield and lived in the Kansas City area since 1946. She was a member of Trinity Anglican Church, and served for many years on the Altar Guild.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Carl F. Lewallen, who died in 1994. Survivors include a daughter, Janie Burgett: her son-in-law, The Very Reverend Forrest Burgett; her son, James Lewallen; her daughter-in-law, Kim Lewallen; two grandchildren, Molly and Patrick Lewallen, all of Overland Park, Kansas; and a sister-in-law, Bertha Cassidy, Kansas City, Missouri. She also leaves several nephews and nieces.
In lieu of flowers the family asks for contributions to Trinity Anglican Church.
