Ruth N. Powers died Saturday, August 24, 2013, just a few weeks short of celebrating her 100th birthday. She was born September 19, 1913 and lived a long and gracious life. She had a kind, generous and thoughtful spirit and in the latter years of her life was enriched by the kindness of so many caring people.
Ruth was preceded in death by her husband, Harold (Hal) Powers, MD. She is survived by her son, Wayne Powers and his wife, Jerre; her granddaughter Ashley Powers Daly and her husband Patrick D. Daly and her two great grandchildren Lucy Elizabeth and Patrick Wayne Daly.
A private family funeral service is planned.
