Ronald Roberts

Ronald D. Roberts, 85, passed away on Friday, April 3, 2015 at Overland Park Regional Hospital.
He is survived by his wife, Lois “Mickey” Roberts, his daughters Cindy Brady (Phil), Janie Hoffmeyer (Kevin), his six grandchildren, Drew (24), Ryan (21), Cody (17), Kate (6), Max (4), Grant (2), and his brother LB “Bud” Roberts (Marilyn).
Born and raised in Topeka Kansas, Ron attended Topeka High School and then proudly served as a Sergeant in the army during the Korean War. Upon his return he attended Washburn University for two years before transferring to Baylor University, where he graduated with a BA degree in 1956.
Ron was a banker, serving as First Vice President until he stared his own construction lending company and took great pride in the work he did.
He was an avid Baylor Alumni and sports fan. His other passions included watching Royals baseball, camping, fishing, hunting and spending time with his family. He was a loving husband and devoted father with a wonderful sense of humor.
Memorial services are being planned for a later date.
The family suggest contributions to Village Presbyterian Church, Baylor University or a charity of your choice in lieu of flowers.
