Robert Jones

Robert Jones passed away December 15th, 2014, at age 87.  He was born in Detroit, Michigan and was a lifelong resident of Kansas City.  He was a graduate of Central High School.  He began the Bob Jones Outlet that later became Bob Jones Shoes.  He was also the owner of the Broadway Bowl, and with his sons opened Bob Jones Sales.  He was a veteran of the Navy in WWII and Korea.  He is preceded in death by his wife Patricia of 49 years and his son Robert.  He leaves behind two sons, Stephen and David and a grandson Robbie.  The family wishes to thank Brighton Gardens for their care along with Continua Hospice.  Visitation will be December 17th at Overland Park Chapel, 8201 Metcalf Avenue, Overland Park, KS, from 6 until 8 pm.  In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Continua Hospice, 13002 State Line Road, Leawood, KS, 66209.  Please offer condolences at www.overlandparkchapel.com.
