RICHARD R. DAVIS
Richard R. Davis, passed away Monday, Sept. 19, 2011 at the age of 71 years. He was a husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, brother, son, uncle, nephew, cousin and friend. Survivors include daughters Jacqueline Still and her husband Jeff, and Julianne Park and her husband Matthew; grandchildren: Ryan, Haley Jo, Ethan, Mary Kim, and Leah; great grandchildren; a brother, John E. Davis and his wife Susan; and many other loved ones. He was preceded in death by his wife Mary Jo, and his parents, Ed and Ethel Davis.
He was a resident of Kansas City, born in St. Louis, MO, a graduate of Central Methodist College of Fayette, MO, and past officer of St. Louis Purchasing Management Association. Richard was a member of St. Michael and All Angels Episcopal Church.
Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Thursday, Sept. 22, 2011 at St. Michael and All Angels Church with a visitation prior from 10 – 11 a.m. at the church. Another visitation will be from 7 - 8:30 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 21 at the D.W. Newcomer's Sons Overland Park Chapel; burial in Shawnee Mission Memory Gardens. A memorial gift may be made to the St. Louis Children's Home Society in his honor.
