Peggy Heitman

July 22, 1942 — May 14, 2007

Peggy ?Darlene? Heitman went to meet her Lord and Savior on May 14, 2007 at her home. Funeral services will be 10:00 A.M. Friday, May 18th at Olivet Baptist Church, 4901 Mission Rd., Westwood, KS with burial in Johnson County Memorial Gardens, Overland Park, KS. Visitation will be 6:00-8:00 P.M. Thursday, May 17th at D.W. Newcomer?s Sons Overland Chapel, 8201 Metcalf. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Olivet Baptist Church.

Darlene was born on July 22, 1942, to Ralph and Nadine Armstrong, in Kansas City, KS. Darlene was a homemaker, an a nurse at St. Luke?s Hospital, and for the last few years of her life, worked seasonally for the IRS. She loved to travel with her husband Charles and has been all around the world, including all 50 states, 39 countries, and 4 continents. She was a life long member of Olivet Baptist Church, Westwood, KS. Her church family was very special to her and they are greatly appreciated. Darlene is survived by her husband, Charles Heitman of the home. She is also survived by her three children, Dean Rasdall and wife Maribeth of Lee?s Summit, MO, Darryl Rasdall of Quenemo, KS and Sherri Hoelting and husband David of Shawnee, KS. Also, surviving is her four step children, Anna Schemm, Lisa Carlile, Cheryl Schemm, and Charlie Heitman; 23 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren. She also leaves behind aunts, uncles, and cousins who were loved greatly. Special thanks go to the doctors and nurses at KU Cancer Center for the care and support, especially to the girls at KU Med West.
