Opal Bowman

Opal B. Bowman, 88, of Overland Park, KS, died October 14, 2015, at Shawnee Mission Hospital. Funeral service will be held 11:00 AM, Saturday, October 24th with visitation at 10:00 AM at the Overland Park Funeral Chapel, burial to follow at Shawnee Mission Memory Gardens. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be given to Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation or Bethany Lutheran Church, Overland Park, KS. Mrs. Bowman was born March 16, 1927 in Rockville, MO to Walter and Magdalena (Fleischer) Ruehling. She was preceded in death by her husband of 57 years, Chester E. Bowman. Survivors include two daughters, Debra (Stephen) Roberts of Bonner Springs and Barbara Wohletz of Overland Park; five grandchildren; Robert Schwartzman, Joseph Wohletz, Linzie (Dustin) Pflumm, Chad Wohletz and Heather Wohletz, and four great-grandchildren, Max Wohletz, Dreighton Wohletz, Aiden Wohletz and Taelon Wohletz; and a sister, Beulah (Allen) Siegert of Basehor, KS.
