Nora May (Callaghan) Pollmiller, 86, of Kansas City, KS passed away July 23, 2015.
Mrs. Nora May Pollmiller was born February 14, 1929 in Kansas City, KS to John J. and Mary (Metzger) Callaghan. She was a lifelong member of St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church, a 70-year member and Regent of Daughters of Isabella. She is a Past President of the Altar Society. Nora May was also very active in the PTA, serving as president at all of the schools her children attended. Nora May was a founder of the Sigma Chi Fraternity Mothers Club and a member of the TWA Retirees Club. Nora May was a talented seamstress, crocheted, and the items that she crafted blessed many people. Nora May is preceded in death by her husband, Fred Pollmiller and an infant son, Joseph Pollmiller. She is survived by her children, Gary Pollmiller and his wife, Terri, Brian Pollmiller and his partner, Patti Klinge of Overland Park, KS, Kevin Pollmiller and his wife, Julie of Lenexa, KS, and Jan Stoker and her husband, Marvin of Shawnee, KS. She is also survived by 6 grandchildren, Michelle Smith, Sean, Lauren, David, Ross, and Patrick Pollmiller and 3 great-grandsons, Jacob Smith, Riley Smith, and Christian Piland. Visitation will be Sunday, July 26th from 6:00 P.M. – 9:00 P.M at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church with the Rosary to be recited at 6:30 P.M. Funeral Services will be 10:00 A.M., Monday, July 27, 2015 at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church, 2910 Strong Avenue, Kansas City, KS. Burial will be in Resurrection Cemetery, 83rd and Quivira, Lenexa, KS.
