Michael Carter Davis, age 73, of Leawood, Kansas passed away Saturday, May 7th, 2016. A Memorial Service will be held at 1:00 pm Thursday, May 19th at The United Methodist Church of the Resurrection, Leawood, KS, in the Wesley Chapel.
Michael was born February 26, 1943 in Topeka, Kansas to John P. and Winifred K. Davis. He truly had a kindness in life and sought out the good things. He will be greatly missed by family and friends.
Michael was proceeded in death by his parents. Survivors include his daughter Molly (Darren) Gray, grandsons Joshua and Adam; brothers F. Scott (Paula) Davis and James K (Neva) Davis, sisters Julie (Doug) Oliver and Suzanne (Errol) Luginbill; and several nieces and nephews to whom he was affectionately known as “Uncle Monkey”.
Memorial contributions can be made to a charity of the donor’s choice, or to the Backpack program at The United Methodist Church of the Resurrection, where Michael most recently enjoyed volunteering his time.
