Mary Kathryn Craig Potts, 97, passed away on February 11, 2007 at Lakeview Health Center, Lenexa, Ks. A memorial service will be held on Sunday, February 18th at Old Mission United Methodist Church, 5519 State Park Rd, Fairway, KS 66205. The family will receive friends 12:30 ? 1:00 P.M., Sunday at the church prior to the service. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Church.

Kathryn was born in Minneola, Ks. on October 18, 1909 to Jessie and Grover Hinson. She graduated from Kidder Junior College, Kidder, Mo. and taught school until she married W.H. Craig who preceded her in death. In 1992 she married her college sweetheart, Robert Potts. Kathryn worked at Modern Handcraft for 20 years as a receptionist. She was a great cook, often entertaining friends and relatives on the spur of the moment. She also loved flower gardening. She was a great listener and helped many people in her lifetime. You could always count on her for sound advice. Her family was very important to her. ?Grandma Honey? loved to know everything that was going on in the lives of her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Kathryn leaves her daughter, Judy McMonigle, her grandsons: Craig, wife Lea, Dennis, wife Holly, Pat, wife Shirley, Ken, wife Maggie, and 6 great grandchildren. She leaves her niece, Debra Short, husband Rick. She also leaves her step-daughters, Beth Rankin, husband George, and Roberta Shivers. Thanks to all of these people for all the loving attention you gave Mother. Best friend, Verna Simmons and her daughter Ann Willis will also miss her greatly. Our thanks to the staff at Lakeview Health Center for all the tender, loving care.
