Lora Epperson

In loving memory of Lora June Epperson, 94, Lenexa, KS who passed away May 1, 2015, at Lakeview Village, Lenexa, KS.  She was born April 16, 1921, in St. Louis, MO to Roy and Alice Druschky.  She graduated from Webster Groves High School, Webster Groves, MO in 1938.  She married her wonderful and loving husband Willard D (Bill) Epperson in 1948 and celebrated 56 years of marriage before his death in 2005.  She loved music, gardening, genealogy, and her family.  She was a deacon, elder and member of the Singing Circle at Rolling Hills Presbyterian Church.  She is survived by her brother, Warren Druschky of Webster Groves, MO, sons, Eric D. (Rebecca) Epperson of Shawnee, KS, David W. (Deborah) Epperson of Shawnee, KS; 5 grandchildren, Matthew D. (Angela) Epperson, Elizabeth M. (Michael) Horn, Sarah N. (Sean) Dale, Jonathan M. Epperson, Timothy D. (Jenny) Epperson; 4 great-grandchildren, Sydney C. Epperson, William D. Horn, Emma M. Horn, and Lucia R. Dale  and many nieces and nephews.  A memorial service will be held on Friday, May 8, 2015, at 1:00 P.M. at Rolling Hills Presbyterian Church, 9300 Nall Ave, Overland Park, KS. In lieu of flowers the family asks that donations be made to the Hospice of your choice, or a charity dear to your heart.  The family would like to say a special thanks to the nurses, aides and staff at Lakeview Village for their care, help and loving support.
