Lois Scoville

Lois Hall Gaither Scoville, 97, passed away August 6, 2016. She was born November 29, 1918, Newport News, VA wife of the late Raymond M. Scoville, Sr. She is survived by sister, Carolyn Slate; sons, Raymond M. Scoville Jr. of Prairie Village, KS; Ralph D. Scoville of Havre de Grace, MD; two loving daughter’s in-law; four grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.  Lois was raised in Silver Spring, MD., she taught elementary grades in Johnson County, KS Public Schools from 1951-1982 finishing her career as a reading specialist. She is lovingly remembered as a woman of faith, courage and determination whose sense of humor kept her close company.  A private family ceremony will be held at a later date.
