LeRoy C. ?Lee? Rice, 81, of Mission, Kansas passed away Wednesday, May 23, 2007 at home. Funeral Services will be held 10:30 A.M. Friday, May 25 at Our Saviour Lutheran Church, 4153 Rainbow Blvd., KC, KS 66103. Burial in Johnson County Memorial Gardens, Overland Park, KS. Visitation will be Thursday evening from 6:00 to 8:00 P.M. at the church. In lieu of flowers, please send donations to Our Saviour Lutheran Church.
LeRoy Rice was born December 26, 1925 in Alma, Kansas. Lee served in the Navy and was a WWII Veteran. On January 28, 1949, he married Lois M. Wohler and that same year he graduated from Kansas State with a major in Business Administration. He was employed in finance at General Motors for 31 years and retired in 1986. Lee was an avid golfer, loyal Kansas State Wildcat fan and an active member of Our Saviour Lutheran Church.
He was preceded in death by his son, Phil Rice. Survivors include his wife of 58 years, Lois Rice; daughter, Pam Elliott and husband Bill; granddaughter, Emily (Longview, TX); son, Tom Rice and wife Susie; grandchildren, Seth, Jacob and Nicole (Overland Park, KS); daughter, Nancy Kirkpatrick and husband Scott; grandsons, Cam, Clint and Cole (Lee?s Summit, MO); many nieces and nephews.
