JUANITA "DUSTY" JEWEL MOODY
Juanita "Dusty" Jewel Moody, 78 of Overland Park, KS, passed away Thursday, Nov. 3, 2011. Funeral services will be 1:30 p.m. Monday, Nov. 7, 2011 at the D.W. Newcomer's Sons Overland Park Chapel; burial in Oaklawn Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. Sunday at the chapel.
Juanita was born March 29, 1933 in Topeka, KS to Clarence Walker and Ella Mae Ratliff. She attended Haskell High School in Lawrence, KS. Juanita married Glen Dale Moody on January 2, 1952. Juanita was a CNA for over 20 years at The Forum of Overland Park. She was a member of the Eastern Band of the Cherokee Indian Tribe. Juanita was preceded in death by her husband of 38 years, Glen Dale Moody; her father and mother; a son, Mark Moody; and her brother Curtis Walker. Survivors include her 4 children: Jonathan D. Moody, David W. Moody, Sherry G. McCallister, and Melody S. Moody; 5 grandchildren and many great grandchildren.
