John Robert Layman Jr. age 48 of Shawnee, Kan., died Friday October 11, 2007, at a work site in Kansas City. Memorial services will be 10 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 20, at D.W. Newcomer's Sons Overland Park Chapel, 8201 Metcalf, Overland Park, Kan. Contributions may be made to Animal Haven, 9800 West 67th Street, Merriam, KS 66203.
