James Glenn

James Glenn, 92, of Shawnee, KS passed away March 21, 2015. A graveside service for family and friends will be held 1pm, Tuesday, March 31st at Shawnee Mission Memory Gardens, 75th and K-7. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be given to Gentiva Hospice, 8735 Rosehill Road, STE 200, Lenexa, KS 66215. James was born May 22, 1922 in Kansas City, KS to Robert and Isabell (Filson) Glenn. He married Virginia Snodgrass on September 4, 1951 and lived in Shawnee, KS for 63 years. He was a member of Shawnee UMC, and he was a 3rd Degree Mason for 63 years. He was a part of the National Automatic Sprinkler Fitters- Union 314 until his retirement. He loved beekeeping and his roses.  He is preceded in death by his wife, Virginia; grandson, Matt Doan; granddaughter, Kathleen Goad and son-in-laws, Sonny Ellis and Bruce Goad. His survivors include children, Bonnie Ellis, Jane Goad, Janice (Dave) Doan and James T. Glenn; 7 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren.
