Gwen C. Kraushaar, 92, of Overland Park, KS passed away on Friday, December 21, 2007. Memorial services will be 11:00 A.M., Thursday, December 27th at Countryside Christian Church, 6101 Nall Avenue, Mission, KS 66202. The family will receive friends at the church from 10-11:00 A.M., Thursday prior to the service. The family suggests memorial contributions to Countryside Christian Church.
Gwen was born on August 15, 1915 in Parkersburg, IL. Gwen was an active member of Countryside Christian Church from the time the family moved to the Kansas City area in 1966, serving on numerous committees and boards in support of the church?s activities. She had been employed at the Ohio Casualty Insurance Company for approximately 15 years. She was preceded in death by her husband, Herbert H. Kraushaar on December 3, 1997; and by her sisters, Venus Weesner and Leah Michael. Survivors include her daughters, Jean Kraushaar, Leawood, KS and Gail Evertson and her husband Ed, Littleton, Colorado; grandchildren, Ben and Ross Evertson, both of Colorado; brother, Harold Michael, Olney, Illinois; and sister, Verlyn Higgins, Johnson City, Tennessee.
