G. Robert "Bob" Lenagar, 89, of Overland Park, passed away on July 1, 2013.
Bob was born in February of 1924 in Kansas City, MO. He served his country during WWII in the Army Air Corps. as a pilot. After the military, he returned to KU, where he earned a professional engineering degree. Bob retired from Bayer in 1992 and previously worked for King Radio and Kansas City Structural Steel. He was a life-long H.A.M. Radio operator and he loved to fly model airplanes. Bob will be remembered as a loving husband, father, and grandfather.
Survivors include his loving wife of 33 years, Lottie, two children, Rae (Rose) Person of Kansas City, MO, and Cheri (Kevin) Silkman of Wichita, KS, and five grandchildren, Sara (Jason) Lamb, Victoria Middleton, Jeff , Jillian, and Curtis Person, all of Kansas City, MO.
Bob was preceded in death by a son, Bradley Person.
The family will receive friends at D.W. Newcomer's Sons Johnson County Chapel, 11200 Metcalf, Overland Park, KS, on Wednesday, July 3rd, 1-2 PM, with a funeral service to follow. Interment will follow at D.W. Newcomer Johnson County Memorial Gardens. Memorial contributions may be made to The Bible Chapel of Shawnee, 12230 W. 75th Street, Shawnee, KS 66216.
