Floyd Edward Yarnall, 97, passed away Friday, Nov. 2, 2012. Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Tuesday, Nov. 6, 2012 at the D.W. Newcomer's Sons Johnson County Chapel, 11200 Metcalf Ave, Overland Park, KS; burial in Johnson County Memorial Gardens.
Floyd Yarnall was born Nov. 25, 1914 in Anderson, IN to Harry B. and Mary Yarnall. The family located in Beverly, Ohio where Floyd completed high school, then graduated from Marietta College in 1936, and received a MS degree from Ohio State. He worked as inspector and chemist with the Food & Drug Administration in Cincinnati & Kansas City over 35 years, retiring in 1974. He was a member of Ward Parkway Presbyterian Church and the American Chemical Society. He is survived by a daughter, Susan and son-in-law, Leon Whitington and grandson, Joshua Whitington. Floyd was preceded in death by his wife of 61 years, Grace.
