Esther Yoder, 100, of Lenexa, KS passed away on February 21, 2014 at Lakeview Village.
Esther was born on August 25, 1913 in Macon, MO to Algernon "Hood" and Vallie (White) Shearon. Esther lived in Overland Park, KS, and retired with her husband, Rollin Yoder, to Lakeview Village in 1993.
Esther was preceded in death by her husband, Rollin, her parents, two brothers, Arnold and Paul Shearon, and an infant son, Donald Paul Miller. She was a mother and step-mother to five children, Sharon and John Cox, Jerry and Lorraine Miller, Cliff and Mary Yoder, Yvonne and Gerry Sieber, Shirley and Byron Oberst, many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren.
A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, February 25th, 11:00 AM, with a visitation one hour prior, 10-11 AM, at D.W. Newcomer's Sons Overland Park Chapel. Interment will follow at Oak Lawn Memorial gardens in Olathe, KS. Memorial contributions may be made to a favorite charity.
