Mrs. Dorothy Zweifel

Dorothy Jean Zweifel, 89, of Roeland Park, KS, passed away on May 24, 2013 at Kansas City Hospice House.
Dorothy was born June 2, 1923 in Kansas City, MO to J.D. and Ruth Ylaff of Kansas City. She married Joseph Zweifel in Chillicothe, MO. She was a secretary for Jenkins Music Company for 30 years and a secretary for the Missouri Division of Family Services for eleven years, retiring in 1988. Dorothy loved her cats and she loved to travel, but her favorite pastimes were gardening and decorating.
Dorothy was preceded in death by her loving husband, Joseph Zweifel. Survivors include many cousins and extended family, including Sheila Cooper, Bernita Mammen, David Pyrtle, Bob Pyrtle, Lena Whitacre, and their families, and dear friends and neighbors, including the Morsman Family.
A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, May 29th, 2:00 PM, at Corinth Cemetery, 83rd & Mission Rd. The family will receive friends 30 minutes prior. Memorial contributions may be made to KC Hospice and Palliative Care.
