Dorothy Agnes (Simpson) Grant, 91, of Olathe, KS, passed away January 12, 2013. She was a retired registered nurse and worked at Providence Hospital for many years.
She was preceded in death by her husband Edward, parents John Alphonsus and Teresa Irene Simpson, brothers Jim Simpson and Ambrose Simpson, sisters Sister Conchessa Marie, Gertrude Egan, Margaret Simpson, Cecelia Lohkamp and Anna Goldsmith.
She is survived by three daughters: Kay Loomis (Jim) of Wichita, KS; Patty McGrath (Bill) of Kansas City, KS; Mary Denman (Bill) of Greenwood, MO; eight grandchildren; sixteen great-grandchildren; and one brother Bernard Simpson of Tulsa, OK.
Visitation will be Tuesday, January 15, from 5:30-7:30 p.m. and the Rosary at 7:30 p.m. at D.W. Newcomer's Sons Overland Park Chapel. Funeral mass will be held Wednesday, January 16, at 10:30 a.m. at Holy Cross Catholic Church, 8311 West 93rd St., Overland Park, KS 66212. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Alzheimer's Association - Heart of America Chapter, 3846 West 75th St., Prairie Village, KS 66208.
