Dolores C. Leon, 74, passed away Friday, October 5, 2012. Visitation will be from 10-11 a.m. Monday, October 8, 2012 at the D.W. Newcomer's Sons Overland Park Chapel with funeral services to follow at 11 a.m.; private family burial in Resurrection Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributions to Catholic Charities, 2220 Central Ave, Kansas City, KS 66102.
Dolores was born June 13, 1938 in Seneca, KS to William and Esther Cunningham. She graduated from Bishop Ward High School in 1956. She was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Shawnee. Dolores was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother. Dolores was preceded in death by her parents, and her brother, Bill Cunningham. Survivors include her husband of 54 years, Clyde J. Leon; her children: Kim (Brian) Koehler, Lisa (Chris) Rhea; four grandchildren: Nicole and Justin Koehler, Patrick and Allyssa Rhea.
