Dennis Hamm

Mr. Dennis Hamm, age 64, was born on June 20, 1950 in Kirksville, Missouri. He passed away peacefully December 15, 2014 in Overland Park, Kansas. He lived in Missouri, Kansas, Texas, and Iowa. Most of his years he resided in Overland Park, Kansas.
He attended Shawnee Mission South High School and received a diploma. He worked for thirty-six years for an aerospace company starting as King Radio; then the company was eventually Honeywell, Inc. He worked in parts reclamation and earned awards for outstanding service and attendance.
Dennis, in spite of his handicaps, learned to drive his own car to work, practice sign language, purchase a home and maintain his job. In addition, he loved music, dancing, painting and comedy. Personally, Dennis was well-liked by many for his kindness, sense of humor, and concern for others. Dennis was a long time member of Asbury Methodist Church in Overland Park, Kansas.
Dennis was preceded in death by his younger brother, Edwin Glenn Hamm, in 1982 and his father, George Edwin Hamm in 2010.
Survivors include his mother, Helen Marie Hamm of Overland Park, Kansas; sister and her husband, Janis and Nick Macias of Belton, Missouri; niece, Nicole Ladesich and children, Kailee and Kaiden of Overland Park, Kansas; and nephew, James Brian Ladesich, wife Linda, and children, Cierra and Sydney of Shawnee, Kansas. His funeral service will be 10am, Saturday, December 20th with visitation at 9am at Asbury United Methodist Church, 5400 W. 75th St, Prairie Village, KS.
