David M. McCoy, 66, of Overland Park, KS passed away Wednesday, May 30, 2007 at his home. Funeral services will be 11:00 A.M. Monday, June 4th at D.W. Newcomer?s Sons Overland Park Chapel, 8201 Metcalf. Burial in Johnson County Memorial Gardens, Overland Park, KS. Visitation will be 3-5:00 P.M. Sunday, June 3rd at the chapel. The family suggests memorial contributions to Kansas City Hospice, 10100 W 87th Street, Suite 100, Overland Park KS. 66212.
David was born September 3, 1940 to Jack and Lutie McCoy in Kansas City, Kansas. At age 5, David moved with his family to Fairfield Iowa where he graduated high School and met his wife Marilyn of 46 Years. David and Marilyn moved to Kansas City to start their life together and to start their Family. He was passionate about fishing, loved the outdoors and working on projects with his hands. David was a loving Husband, Father and was a friend to everyone he met. He will be truly missed.
David was preceded in death by his parents Jack Chester McCoy and Lutie Frances Caldwell. Survivors include his wife of 46 years, Marilyn of the home; his son, Lewis McCoy, San Antonio, TX.
