Carol Dee Waisner, age 84, of Overland Park, Kansas passed away on August 27, 2014. Visitation will be from 5-7 pm on Monday, September 1, 2014 at the Overland Park Funeral Chapel, 8201 Metcalf Ave., Overland Park, KS. Funeral will take place at 10 am on Tuesday, September 2, 2014 at Overland Park First Assembly of God, 7700 W. 75th St. Overland Park, KS. Interment will follow in Oaklawn Memorial Gardens.
Mrs. Waisner was born July 25, 1930 in Hope, KS. She was a teacher for 24 years in Hope, KS and in the Shawnee Mission School District.
She was preceded in death by her father, Kurt H. Schlesener and mother, Irene E. Mosley.
Survivors include her husband of 57 years, William H. Waisner, her brother Cliff Schlesener (Georgia Marie), sister Florence Fenner (Dick), and children; Janel Cates (Tom), Lisa Waisner, Lori Hardman (John), Ron Waisner (Tina) and Brian Waisner (Laura), as well as her grandchildren; Jill, Amy, Kyle, Tessa, Taylor, Carolyn, Catherine, Jordan, Emily, Will and Hope.
