Betsy Lynn Taylor, 62, of Overland Park, KS passed away July 15, 2015. Betsy was born May 3, 1953 in Garden City, KS. She graduated from K-State with a BS Degree in 1975. In the fall of 1979, she met Tom Taylor on a blind date set up by her best friend and his sister. They were married May 24, 1980.
Betsy was a devoted mother and grandmother. She enjoyed cruising. Her most memorable trip was just recently a Disney Cruise with her kids and grandkids. One of her greatest joys was snuggling up with one or more of her grandchildren in her big soft chair and watching their favorite Disney programs. She was an avid sports fan rarely missing the Chiefs, Royals or K-State games when on TV.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Mary Burden. She is survived by her father, Rex Burden; husband, Tom; daughter, Meghan (Nick); son, Brandon; and her grandchildren, Madison, Jackson and Brooklyn.
A Celebration of her Life will be 10 AM, Saturday, July 25th in the Wesley Chapel at the Church of the Resurrection in Leawood. In lieu of flowers family has suggested memorial contributions to be made in her name to the Kansas City Hospice at 1500 Meadow Lake Pkwy #200, Kansas City, MO 64114.
