Adam Dennis Black, 49 of Overland Park, KS. Passed away on July 12, 2021. Visitation and Memorial Service will be held at the Overland Park Funeral Chapel, 8201 Metcalf, Overland Park, KS. 66204 on July 22 at 1:00 p.m. and 2:00 p.m. Adam was born on February 1, 1972, in Denton, Texas and grew up in Overland Park and Leawood, KS. He attended Kansas City Christian School and Shawnee Mission South High School. Adam was a veracious reader of music artists, and historical events and people who lived interesting lives. He could make you laugh by just a smile, a word, or a story. Adam enjoyed skateboarding with his brother Eric and other high school friends. Adam’s brother Eric and his two sisters, Emily and Heather wanted to write something about their brother Adam. Here are some memories of Adam from his sister Heather: My brother Adam knew how to make us laugh. He did the best impressions and made up the funniest songs. I will remember the good times we had as a family. Love, Heather.

My brother Adam always walked the edge. Kansas City boy, comedian, skater, music/vinyl, punk rocker, traveler, nomad. He lived very close to the flame. I am going to miss him greatly. I love you Adam!! Your brother Eric.

Adam had the best smile, best sense of humor and a great laugh. He had a love for good food, good music, and he had a kind heart and his soul was pure. I will always be proud to be his little sister, I will cherish every memory growing up. I still can’t believe he’s gone. His memory will forever have a special place in my heart. Love and miss you Ads, Love Ems.
Adam was preceded in death by his mom, Colleen L. Black. His survivors include: Dennis Black, his dad, Ft. Myers, FL and his wife, Paula Black. His sister, Heather Phillips of Olathe, KS. His brother, Eric Black of Bend, Oregon and a sister, Emily Black of New Orleans, LA.
