Aaron Walters

March 4, 1990 — February 19, 2007

Aaron Christopher Walters, 16, of Merriam, Kansas, finished his earthly race and crossed the finish line into heaven February 19, 2007. Aaron?s personality and love of life will be missed by all the people he touched.

Aaron was born on March 4, 1990, to Chris and Vicki (Flory) Walters. He was a junior at Christ Preparatory Academy and at home. He was a member of the track team but his true love was cross-country racing. The friendships and dedication gained from his fellow Harriers helped him mature in his personal and spiritual life and gave him the courage and endurance to ?run in such a way that you may win.?

Aaron was a member of Emmanuel Baptist Church, Overland Park, Kansas. He had asked Jesus into his heart as the Lord of his life and was baptized.

Although Aaron was young he had an entrepreneurial spirit. He worked diligently to start his own lawn care company, ?Lawnz Lawncare.? He owned an industrial mower, snowblower and pickup truck, had designed fliers with his company logo, and was well on his way to becoming a successful businessman.

Aaron is survived by his parents; brother, Andrew; sister, Caitlyn; and grandparents John and Joan Walters, Lenexa, Kansas; and Dorothy Flory, Nortonville, Kansas. He was preceded in death by a grandfather, James Flory.

Funeral services will be at 1 p.m., Friday, February 23 at Emmanuel Baptist Church of Overland Park, 10100 Metcalf, Overland Park, Kansas, 66212, (913) 649-0900. Visitation will be 5 to 7 p.m. on Thursday, February 22 at D.W. Newcomer?s Sons Overland Park Chapel, 8201 Metcalf, Overland Park, Kansas, 66204. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Aaron Walters Memorial Fund in care of any Capitol Federal Bank.

?Aaron there will not be a day you are not missed. You were a blessing to us and although we know you were only on loan it is with great grief that we give you back to God. But we know you are running on streets of gold and look forward to the day you run to meet us again. We love you with all our hearts, Mom, Dad, Caitlyn, Andrew?
