Anna Marie (Garner) Potter passed away Tuesday, August 20, 2019 in Shawnee, KS surrounded by her family. She was the 8th of 12 children born to Charley and Martha Elizabeth (Burgett) Garner. She was born September 21, 1932 in Picher, OK graduating from Picher High School 1950.
Anna met and married Sam Potter while both were working for Southwestern Bell. They both retired after 30 years of service, making their home in Overland Park, KS.
She is survived by her children Peggy Misialek of Shawnee, KS, Robert Asbell and wife Teresa of Miami, OK and Cathy Cullen and husband Mark of Warrensburg, MO; 7 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren and 3 great great-grandchildren; sister Lora Lee Parker of Vinita, OK, and brother Danny Garner and wife Carolyn of Miami, OK, and a host of nephews and nieces. She is preceded in death by her husband Sam Potter, her parents Charley and Martha Elizabeth Garner, 5 sisters and 4 brothers.
Anna will be greatly missed but she looked forward to a reunion with her family and Jesus for eternity. At her request, no formal services but a celebration of life will be held with her children and grandchildren. She will be buried at G.A.R. Cemetery in Miami, OK.
